National Family Partnership (NFP) affiliates are representatives located across the U.S. who share a common goal: to prevent substance abuse and to deliver healthy messages to families, schools and other groups in our communities.
We work together to promote two awareness campaigns:
Red Ribbon Week® – The oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, celebrated in schools and communities across America every October 23-31st by an estimated 80 million people. The mission of the Red Ribbon Campaign® is to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a drug-free America.
Lock Your Meds® – A national prescription drug abuse prevention campaign designed to reduce prescription drug abuse by making adults aware that they are often the unintentional suppliers of prescription medications being used in unintended ways, especially by young people. The campaign includes a wide array of high-quality advertisements, posters, educational materials, publicity opportunities, inter-active games and slide show presentations.
Our diverse network of affiliates across the country includes:
- Parent Organizations
- Drug Free Coalitions and Other Prevention Organizations
- Intervention Organizations
- Addiction Treatment Groups
- Schools and Educational Organizations
- Faith Based Communities
- Law Enforcement and Governmental Agencies
- Concerned Individuals
NFP provides our affiliates with access to campaign materials, strategies and support in order to deliver the important drug prevention in a fun and engaging way.
NFP was founded as part of the Parent Movement and our focus on parents has not changed. Our mission is to lead and support our nation’s families and communities in nurturing the full potential of healthy, drug free youth. Today, thanks to the strength of our national network of affiliates, NFP is a national leader in drug prevention education & advocacy.
